Welcome to Templenoe, Kenmare, County Kerry

Templenoe(An Teampaill Nua), or New Church, is a civil parish, in the barony of Dunkerron, county of Kerry, and province of MUNSTER.
It is a dispersed rural settlement located on the N70 on the Iveragh Peninsula and Ring of Kerry tourist route. It is approximately 7km to the west of Kenmare town.
There are no real population figures for Templenoe itself available however the census of 2006 recorded 248 persons in the townland of Greenane, which is more or less the same area. The census of 2011 shows a figure of 247 so a change of minus 1.

The Ring of Kerry Golf and Country Club is located in Templenoe and has stunning views over the Kenmare River. There is one local pub owned by former GAA star and now TV GAA commentator Pat Spillane.
